Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (Asia Pacific) is a CPR and first aid course specifically written to meet workplace requirements in Australia where occupational health and safety regulations stipulate that businesses must have first aid trained personnel on staff. PADI’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) mapped the First Aid at Work course to meet both workplace requirements and Nationally Recognised Training units of competence from the Australian vocational Health and Outdoor Recreation Training Packages. The course educates you for a variety of situations that may arise in the work place or in just day-to-day life. This program expands on the Primary care, Secondary care, Caring for Children, AED operation and Work place legislation. Several pieces of first aid equipment like First Aid Kits, fire blankets, the use of pocket masks and AED’s will be discussed. This course follows the emergency consideration, guidelines and protocols of the Australian Resuscitation council and consensus view of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCORE). Your Statement of attainment will be processed by the PADI Registered Training Organization (RTO) Id.#6729 and send to you upon confirmation of competence in all aspects of your training. The course has its own First Aid manual. Most commonly it is a one day course but some companies prefer the (3) evening option, or even a multi week format for schools! A Self-study portion is possible and will reduce the classroom time.
